All my current technicians have been with me for a considerable time, some for over 25 years. They have trained with me, most of them as an apprentice, and have attended Basingstoke College of Technology, to gain City & Guilds.
Jordan Manson has completed all his city & guilds qualifications and is now a qualified technician, he has taken his MOT testers course and awaits his practical assessment. Michael Bolton, Lee Rolfe, and Scott Macklin, are at present enrolled on the Bosch Master Tec series of engine management and electronics’ courses.
As a forward thinking, independent vehicle repairer, with the advances in vehicle electronics’ and systems, I believe the only way to keep ahead of the competition is with investment in training and the use of up to date equipment.
I have invested heavily in a number of specialized tools for the correct removal and fitting of suspension bushes, thus eliminating the risk of damage that can be caused by other methods, damage that we frequently see while carrying out vehicle inspections.
Our equipment includes the latest MOT One Man Testing Lane, with computerised shock absorber testing.
We use the latest AUTOCOM electronic diagnostic tool, to supplement our existing LAUNCH X43, and Snap-on MODIS systems, all of which are updated with the latest software available.
Tyre changing is carried out using top of the range Hoffman equipment, fitted with all the technology to remove and fit tyres up to 22 inch diameter and 16 inch width, including run flats without damage to the rims.
Hoffman 3D 4 wheel infrared wheel alignment equipment was installed on 2013, this is top of the range kit, offering a complete front and rear alignment test and adjustment to very close tolerances, a must on modern steering and suspension systems, for correct tyre wear, road handling and of course best fuel economy.
This year we have added yet again top of the range equipment in the field of air conditionion service and repair, including the new gas r1234yf found in some cars under 3 years old. Scott and Jordan have been trained up on this equipment.
On the recovery side a new 7t recovery truck was added to the fleet in April 2014, and we await delivery of a new 12T Renault Euro 6 recovery transporter. these replace two of our ageing vehicles.
We look forward to seeing you.
