Burglary / Car Theft .
Most if not all modern cars cannot be stolen (driven) with out the ignition key, but we still recover vehicles that have been stolen on a daily basis, many at night from your home address.
The main reason for this is a lack of security by the home owner. In many cases by not dead locking the front door at night, a thief usually inserts a small bent piece of tube through the letter box, easily pushing the handle down to gains access, this normally takes place when you are asleep in bed, so in the event of you being disturbed, they know where you are and can make a quick exit, stealing lap tops, wallets, handbags and the keys to your car.
It is a fact that most people leave things like keys and wallets, on window sills, kitchen tables or surfaces near the front door, which can be so easily found either by opening the front door to gain access as above, or forcing a window and in some cases using a rod and hook through the letter box
Don't give the thief a head start - double lock doors , put valuables away, have a hide-away for keys, or just take them up-stairs when you go to bed, most thieves will not want to confront you, so best place is with you.
Remember you loose. When your car is found you will probably have to pay for its recovery,
(Police Statutory Recovery Fee's are between £150 and £300.00 depending on location & condition)
You may require new locks for both house and car (thieves normally keep the keys and could come back), most cars are damaged, resulting in an insurance claim, leading to higher premiums, insurance excess and loss of personal property, sometimes of sentimental value.
Senior Citizen's Club (25% off Labour and much more)
We at MENDEM MOTORS have found that a fair percentage of our customers are shall we say in their "golden years". They drive cars that are in reasonable to very good condition and are particular that they should remain so, are more safety conscious and in many cases are running on a pension meaning a tighter budget for repair and servicing. Some might not be as able to check the simpler routine items, that they once did with ease, especially with cars becoming more complex.
With all this in mind we have established A Senior Citizen Discount Club.

Tooth Decay
In most modern car engines there is a part so vital that to forget its timely replacement can be fatal, not only for the engine, but your pocket! This is the camshaft timing belt.
A rubber toothed belt that keeps the rotating engine parts in perfect harmony. When so frequently they do break, this balance is upset with the inevitable happening, bent valves at worst costing from a few hundred pounds to possibly nearer a thousand, or even a new engine.
The odds of belt failure can be greatly reduced by changing the cambelt in accordance with the manufacturers recommendation. Please call us for a free quote and cambelt change schedule.

Flood Warning
With all the flooding that can occur, we have recovered many vehicles with blown engines.
Some of these vehicles had driven through less than 12 inches of water, but their air intake was still low enough to suck water in the engine with the resulting engine damage. Many required new engines, costing upward of £1500.
IF THE WATER LEVEL IS ANY WHERE NEAR SILL HEIGHT JUST DON'T RISK IT
